Warranty claim rejected? Steps to challenge a denial

  1. Ask for the reason in writing

    Ask which part of the warranty the denial is based on.

  2. Re-read your terms

    Compare the reason with the warranty language.

  3. Provide more evidence

    Send photos, receipts or a technician's written report.

  4. Escalate

    Ask for a supervisor or the warranty claims department.

  5. Use outside help

    File a complaint with your state attorney general, the BBB or consider small claims court.
